This is me & my wife, Tammy in the Team DU PONT pit area. Behind that beautiful smile is a very bored woman, at a Nascar race. |
Darlington is the first Super Speedway. Mountain Dew is loaded with caffeine. All the people in this photo have the jitters. That ain't right! Thanks, but I'll have a Budweiser. |

I got to hang out with some of the members of Team DU PONT. This is me & Jason Seitzinger, shock specialist, he does pit support, & he makes me look like a midget. |
I showed this guy Marty Roe, from Diamond Rio a few chords & he sang the crowd a song he called, "One More Day" to help kick things off. He is named after country music legend, Marty Robbins, who also used to race in Nascar Winston Cup competition win I was a kid... |

Here I am killing time on pit road while they dry the track. At first I thought that was the #41 Target Dodge under that cover behind me, but it turns out it was driver Jimmie Spencer under there catching some zzzzz's...call Jennie Craig, Jimmie, your car bottoms out every time you come off turn 4. |
I am a #24 fan. I was at his 1st Nascar Winston Cup win, which was a 125 mile qualifying race at Daytona in '93. I snapped this picture of Jeff "Flash" Gordon at the driver introductions before the race in Darlington. No, Brooke...you can't have half of this check. |

"Texas" Terry Labonte wanted to meet me, so I gave him a minute, but I was very busy....I'm kidding, he's grrrrreeeat!!!!! |
This is Team Tide getting ready to get dirty servicing Ricky Craven's #32 Ford Taurus. I rented a Ford Taurus before but mine topped out at 112 MPH. Don't worry, I was careful. I got the insurance coverage. |
I am also a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. Here he is haulin' ass down the back stretch in the #8 Budweiser Chevrolet. I sure do miss his dad. Go get 'em Lil E!!! |
I took this picture of Ray Evernham, former crew chief of Jeff Gordon. He left there in 2000 to launch his own race teams, that put Dodge back into Nascar Winston Cup competition. He also cut me off in a Dodge mini van while we were leaving the track after the Darlington 500. I thought about spinning him out, but after all, I'm not Tony Stewart. |

This is Michael Rompf. He is the public relations guy for AJ Foyt Racing's #14 Team Conseco Pontiac, but on race day he catches the overflow of fuel when driver, Mike Wallace comes in for a pit stop. He introduced me to all the crew, and we hung out in the transport hauler before the race & he showed me all the equipment, where they store stuff like the extra race car, and answered every racing question I could think of. Thanks, Michael. Good luck, I will see y'all soon. |

Here I am sittin' around with some of the guys from the crew of driver Jimmie Johnson's #48 Lowes Chevrolet. They are having a great time waiting for it to stop raining, can't you tell? |

Each pit has it's own fire safety crew person. Unfortunately the one in Jeff Gordon's pit, keeps trying to extinguish Team DU PONT's pants. By the way, Jeff won the race!!! |

This young man is my buddy Gene, from Florence, SC. He works for Conseco. He invited me & my wife to go to the race with him & got us the garage & pit passes & tickets to the race in the President's suite. It was the ultimate Nascar experience. I'll never forget it. Thanks, Gene...We'll see you in Myrtle Beach! |
